The Aquarium

The Aquarium Museum has 38 different sized aquaria holding over 500 different species of corals, fish, sea sponges and marine invertebrates found in the Red Sea area. Each aquarium provides a naturally balanced habitat for the marine creatures it houses, including a large dark aquarium to show the beauty of Flashlight Fish. The entrance foyer of the Museum presents an exhibit of marine life fossils collected in the area.

The Shark Tank

The poorly understood shark has been considered one of the most dangerous creatures from time immemorial. However, various species of Red Sea sharks, some of them very dangerous, others not dangerous at all, swim together in our 650,000 liter tank in perfect harmony. Wide, panoramic windows offer a view of these sleek and streamlined creatures while at leisure and while being fed (The sharks are fed every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 13:30 pm). Fresh seawater is pumped through the tank 24 hours a day, providing a natural habitat for the sharks and crystal visibility for the visitors.

The Turtle and Stingray Pool

The Turtle and Stingray Pool complex comprises of two pools. The lower pool which holds stingrays and adult turtles, has a central sandy island specially designed to serve as the turtle's laying area during the summer breeding season. The Underwater Observatory Marine Park is the only institution, worldwide, which successfully breeds and rears Hornbill Turtles in captivity. When the turtle eggs hatch, the young are removed to a special adjacent aquarium. At a later stage, the juvenile turtles are brought back to the complex and can be watched swimming in the upper pool.

The Yellow Submarine

The Yellow Submarine, "Jacqueline", is an exhilarating, unique experience which should not be missed. Diving in the Yellow Submarine is a once in a lifetime adventure offering the opportunity to see the world at 60 meters depth - a depth which, until now, only expert divers could know. The 47 seat "Jacqueline" is specifically designed to ensure the comfort and the best viewing of the passenger and is also the most technologically advanced and the deepest diving passenger submarine of its kind operating worldwide today. The submarine safari dives down to the seabed at 60 meters, then rises to 35 meters to cruise the coral reef wall.

Coral 2000

The Underwater Marine Park offers you a brand new Attraction - Coral 2000. See the magical beauty of the Coral Pearl and the "Japanese Gardens" Via your own Personal window while listening to fascinating stories and infoabout the Underwater world.

The Reef Tank

The Reef Tank is a circular, "life-saver" shaped tank, 20 meters in diameter which holds 350,000 liters of sea water, pumped fresh from the sea, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Inside the tank, is a life-size replica of a Red Sea coral reef on which the corals grow, just as they do in the wild. Many long minutes can be spent watching the Moray Eel, the wide array of different corals and many varied fish - from the large, predatory Jackfish to the tiny Damselfish.
