Eco –update Winter 2005/6Hi everyone,The winter has finally arrived, that means a cold nose in the morning as we go to work at 6:00 in the morning, but as the sun rises it's very pleasant, even hot on most days. This weather is great for the organic garden, the mud projects takes a while to dry in-between mud coats but there is still a lot of building going on. The September Green Apprenticeship did some amazing work, and now we are in the middle of the December Green Apprenticeship. The Tea House is progressing well and is soon to be finished. The new bustan or GA neighborhood is well underway with lots of help from Netzer Australia and U. K. Shnaties with Itamar as the leader of the pack. Way down south of the kibbutz at the Bird Reserve there’s been a lot of tires, trash and mud going into the all new jumbo educational bird hide or observation shelter. We thank the Jewish National Fund for their financial help with this special project. The construction of the Bird Hide was headed by our master builder Kfir, and Yosef, Sarah (former shnattie and G.A) and Patricia. We thank so many hands for their help on this amazing project, shnatties, GA’s and many more. I’m going to stop writing as these pictures say it all….. See you in the spring, yours Mike K.
