Day tours at Lotan Center for Creative Ecology

Ready for a refreshing, thought-provoking eco-experience?

Set in the arid Arava Valley, 40 minutes north of the Red Sea resort of Eilat, with the breathtaking Edom Mountains as a backdrop, the Center for Creative Ecology offers interactive, hands-on activities for individuals, families, and groups of all ages. Our activities earned the Eco Center "The Israel Ministry for the Environment Award" for Public Activism and Ecological Education for the year 2000.



Arrange a full day, half-day, or a short 1 hour visit including:

  1. sculpting with recycled materials;
  2. organic gardening, and natural building techniques;
  3. stroll through the kibbutz to see how Lotan members in their homes and neighborhoods put environmental theory into practice;
  4. Take a walk through the migratory bird reserve to see how careful environmental planning can assist avian migration through the Afro-Syrian Rift Valley;
  5. Incorporate in your tour holistic health "treats" such as yoga, massage, Watsu (Shiatsu in Water) and Shiatsu to supplement environmental and ecological health with personal tranquility and contentment.
