An Alternative Building workshop,
incorporating
theory with practical work with mud
Kibbutz Lotan has lead the Alternative Building revolution in Israel for several years now. For Lotan's members, the alternative building concept is a prominent guideline and a way of life; for you it may offer practical solutions and new creative ways to become friendlier with your environment.
We invite you to join us in the unique experience of building with earth. The workshop will take place in the Centre for Creative Ecology at Kibbutz Lotan, a flowering eden in the heart of the Arava desert.
- During the workshop we will shape mud walls and make mud bricks.
- we will visit inspiring houses from around the world built from earth, straw bales and tires (video and slide show)

We will learn and be inspired from the many examples of building techniques and creative use of materials in Lotan and elsewhere.
- * Please note that the workshops are conducted in Hebrew.
Conditions & Prices
- A 3-day workshop in a hostel like accommodation (full board)
- 920 NIS per person in a double room
- 1020 NIS (one person in a room)
- A minimum of 5 participants required for a workshop to go ahead
